Thankful

Are you going to finish Toriko?
It shows in your queue, but not in the series list (the one where you’re crossing out projects after you complete them).
Thank you for the 1st 50. I’ve been waiting for your encodes before I finish watching the series.
No pressure or disrespect intended. I just really liked your quality encodes.

Thankful

Yay!!!! :^)

(Thanks in advance)

Umai

It keeps cutting out the part (one more time)
COMPATIBLE only after I updated my K-Lite Codecs Pack
PC Players (Windows Vista)
1. Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.18311
2. MediaMonkey 4.0.7.1511
Before the update, both pixelated and skipped. WMP was worse than MediaMonkey.

(Please delete previous post).

Umai

I just noticed that part of my compatibility post was cut.

OK. The end.

Final comment.
I have downloaded a couple of Deadfish encodes in the past and really liked them.
I just discovered Noob, after spending hours trying to re-encode Toriko myself.

I have downloaded both batches.
Noob
Pro: better audio (192 v. 128 Kbps)
Con: Hasn’t finished encoding the series.
Con: Encodes slightly larger than Deadfish. (I’m trying to save all my DVDs to hard drives, I was kind of hoping to skimp a bit on the size. I want to keep both the R1 and the fansub for this series, because of the TL Notes other cool touches by Anime-Destiny.)

Deadfish
Pro: Prior good experiences with their encodes.
Pro: All episodes encoded.
Con: Various problems with encodes (out-of-sync audio, missing subtitles, broken 2d half, etc.) + hard to get and missing version 2s.
Since I’m so grateful to anyone who takes to time to fansub or encode to share with us, I hate to complain about anyone’s encodes.
After weighing the pros and cons of each, I prefer Noob. I hope you guys do finish encoding this anime.

I also hope Funimation finished too, so they can take my money for dual audio Toriko goodness. But it looks like Funimation is not quite hungry for more, yet. :^(

Umai

More info for those who want to compare Noob to Deadfish (the other mp4 offer out there).

1. I've been trying to download [Deadfish]1v2 for the past 3 days.

2. [Deadfish] episode 12 in the 1-61 Batch has no subtitles.
I checked after noticing post on torrent feedback.
I've been trying to download 12v2 for the past 3 days.

3. [Deadfish] episode 13 in the 1-61 Batch is broken towards the end of the episode. It just goes grey.
I checked after I noticed a post by someone else on there website.
I haven't found a version 2 yet.

Umai

Compatibility results, as promised.

Once the seedbox kicked in, the download finished fast.

To check compatibility, I skipped back and forth to various points in the episode to see if it would pixelate, skip, or do that weird fast forward thing with no sound.

Episodes checked on each player: 1,2,5,43,50

I’m trying to d’l this now. I’ll report back on compatibility.
Will you finish the rest of Toriko?
I tried to reencode the mini-mkv I had, but old pc+confusion over handbrake settings=fail.
